Jennifer Lopez is expanding her business empire and as always is making sure she looks amazing doing it.
The singer shone in an all white look in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday as she launched her new venture – a mobile phone retailer.
JLo announced that in addition to her busy singing career she is now also the face of Viva Movil, a mobile retailer targeting Latino customers.
Joining forces with Verizon, the co-founder and creative director of the company launched the new retailer’s website on Wednesday at the Venetian Casino and announced stores will soon roll out across the country.
The stores will be staffed with bilingual employees, but the phones and plans sold by Viva Movil are the same as Verizon’s.
Despite already having a lot of balls in the air – JLo has her singing and acting career as well as clothing and fragrance lines – the mother-of-two did not look at all tired as she confidently strode onto the stage to announce the new retailer.

Jennifer Lopez is getting into the mobile business.
The star is the chief creative officer and majority owner in Viva Movil, a mobile retailer working with Verizon Wireless to target Latino customers.
Viva Movil will have its own stores, complete with bilingual staff, hands-on time with devices and dedicated play areas for kids. The first store will open in June at “a busy intersection” in New York with at least 15 planned this year in cities including Los Angeles and Miami.
Lopez said the U.S. Latino market represents $1.2 trillion in purchasing power and, on its own, would be equal to the world’s 14th largest country.
“We do things differently, including how we shop for wireless devices,” Lopez said at a press conference with Verizon at the CTIA trade show in Las Vegas. “We will provide a new customer experience.”
In addition to the forthcoming stores, Viva Movil is also selling online, at a website that went live on Wednesday. The site lists a range of devices including top Verizon phones such as the iPhone 5, Galaxy S III and Droid Razr Maxx. The plans are typical Verizon ones, including shared data plans and both contract and no-contract plans.
Lopez also promised a social shopping experience, including integration with Facebook.
And, of course, there will be some JLo-crafted accessories. Down the road, Viva Movil may do custom devices but for now it will use those already carried by Verizon.
In addition to Lopez, Viva Movil is a partnership with wireless company Brightstar and Moorhead Communications — the largest of Verizon’s premium retailers with 850 stores. Verizon is the exclusive wireless provider but doesn’t own a stake in Viva Movil.
Lopez was joined onstage by Verizon COO Marni Walden.
“We hope to be the most exciting thing that comes out of CTIA,” Walden said.

Jennifer Lopez has released a new music video for her latest single “Live It Up.” The collaboration with Pitbull has the 43-year-old singer donning a “Black Swan”-esque get-up as she gets pampered and prepped for a big performance. Lopez breaks it down onstage with a series of rings — an image that she teased earlier this week on “American Idol.” The singer performed the track on the season finale of the talent competition on Thursday.

She may be “Maid in Manhattan,” but Jennifer Lopez loves the Hamptons enough to spend $10 million on a chic 3-acre spread in Water Mill, NY.
First reported by the New York Post, Lopez, along with her young boyfriend Caspar Smart and her twins Max and Emme, were seen multiple times touring the property before Lopez officially dropped $10 million for the 8-bedroom, 7.5 bathroom, 8,500 square foot custom home.
Lopez’s new purchase is the perfect summer retreat with every amenity she and her family need including a sparkling pool, pool house, theater, sauna, steam room and covered porches. The light, bright Hamptons beach house is perfectly private and situated on a secluded cul-de-sac. The property features the gorgeous main home, as well as room for J-Lo to build a guest house and tennis court, if she’s so inclined.
This news comes on the heels of news that ex-husband Marc Anthony just spent $2.5 million on a new home in Encino, CA. Coast-to-coast, the former duo is buying up some high-priced real estate!

Jennifer Lopez Rushed to Safety After Gunshots Fired on Music Video Set

Share on FacebookJennifer Lopez’s day at the beach took a scary turn on Sunday, May 5, when gunshots were reportedly fired in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where the singer was filming a music video with Pitbull for their hit song “Live It Up.” Immediately after the shooting, Lopez was rushed to safety.
Entertainment Tonight correspondent Rob Marciano, who was interviewing the star at the time of the incident, wrote about the shots on Twitter. “BREAKING: Gunshots fired on Fort Lauderdale beach DURING my JLo interview. No kidding. Security scrambled her away,” he tweeted.
A few minutes later, he added: “Can hear & see ambulances converging ~400 yards down the street…Police confirming: ‘Shots fired. No one hit.’ Whew.”The shooting interrupted what had been, to that point, a fun-filled afternoon for Lopez and her crew. Earlier in the day, the mom-of-two flaunted her tanned, toned physique in a sexy halter-style peach swimsuit, which she paired with tangerine lipstick and an orange manicure. She looked smoking hot as she stretched out on a white beach chair just steps away from the ocean.
The 43-year-old singer also modeled a printed green beach cover-up over a black bikini. Accompanied on set by boyfriend Casper Smart, she and some dancers/extras hit the surf, laughing and waving their arms in the air as waves crashed around them.
