Jennifer Lopez is nothing if not gracious. So it was a surprise to both fans—and her—that reports surfaced yesterday claiming that Lopez had a hotel maid in Germany fired for supposedly seeking her autograph.
Now, the 43-year-old multihyphenate star is setting the record straight about what went down and where she stands when it comes to accommodating her fans. As you might have guessed, she certainly goes the distance.
In a statement to E! News, Lopez’s rep says: “Jennifer is having a great time on her first world tour traveling with her twins and her mom. Jennifer always goes out of her way to meet and greet fans as evidenced by her recent twitter @tweet2meet engagements backstage, as well as stopping to sign autographs and say hello to hotel staff.”
Lopez herself addressed the incident on Tuesday, tweeting incredulously, “Would never get anyone fired over an autograph. 1st I heard of this was on twitter.#hurtful.”
A source tells E! News exclusively that, contrary to reports, the hotel employee in question, Pray Dodaj, wasn’t fired but was transferred to another hotel by a third-party placement company commissioned to provide the staffing service.
Our source also tells us that Dodaj allegedly wasn’t seeking an autograph but had entered the room unannounced early in the morning.
J.Lo’s personal security, obviously concerned that a stranger had popped up unexpectedly, supposedly notified hotel security about the incident.
“Fact is Mrs. Dodaj did not at any time have direct or personal contact with Jennifer Lopez,” a rep for Breidenbacher Hof, the hotel in Düsseldorf where Lopez was staying while in town for her world tour, said in a statement to E! News.
“At no time, either Ms. Lopez personally, or her staff, asked for the termination of Mrs. Bete Dodaj’s contract. The group was by any account pleased with the hotel and its services and was very pleasant, friendly and courteous.”

Jennifer Lopez fans have exhausted the first batch of $800 tickets to meet the US celebrity on her Australian tour. The pricey package includes a premium ticket (worth $300) to J-Lo’s Australian tour in December. Only 20 meet-and-greet tickets are being sold for each J-Lo concert – half of those were made available in this week’s presale. Insiders say the demand for the $800 tickets was overwhelming, disappointing many who missed out on buying them. The rest go on sale on Tuesday when all the remaining tickets for her national tour are made available to the public.

JENNIFER LOPEZ has been quietly holed up for a few days at the Ritz-Carlton with boyfriend and choreographer Casper Smart.
The couple and her backup dancers have been rehearsing at Temple’s Liacouras Center for the North American leg of her tour with Enrique Iglesias, which kicks off Saturday in Montreal and will make a stop at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall on July 29.
We’re told that the dancers had been at the Liacouras Center since June 29 but that JLo rehearsed there only over the weekend.
The gang is through working at the Liacouras Center but is still in Philadelphia and is expected to leave Thursday or Friday.

Jennifer Lopez begins her vigorous exercise regime at 4am in the morning.
The 42-year-old showed off an incredible toned stomach and killer abs when she took to the stage in Brazil recently.
It has been revealed exactly what it takes to get a body like hers. Jennifer is “completely dedicated” to her workout programme that includes starting early.
“She gets up at 4am, six days a week, and does 90 minutes of Pilates and dance cardio,” a source close to the Latino superstar admitted. “She works out like crazy.”
As well as putting in the time and effort with her exercise, Jennifer has had some help getting her into the shape she is today.
She works out with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, follows a high-protein Dukan diet and eats little and often in between her workouts.
An insider told UK magazine Heat that “she has an assistant who brings her snacks at exact times” which is beneficial to helping Jennifer stick to her diet plan.
The star gave birth to her twins Max and Emme in 2008. She has spoken about her battle to lose the baby weight.
“I struggled to get rid of the last 20lbs,” she previously admitted.

Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez will share the stage during a co-headlining tour this summer, which launches in Canada.
The first two stops: Montreal and Toronto. Iglesias performed in Canada during his Euphoria Tour in Windsor, Ont., and Montreal last February. During a conference call, Iglesias asked Lopez if it would be her first time touring in Canada.
“It might be, yeah,” she said. “Canada, I don’t think I’ve ever gone there, have I? Oh God. I don’t remember.”
Actually, she has been here before. Lopez visited Toronto and Montreal in October 2007. She performed on stage with then-husband Marc Anthony on their El Cantante tour. Meanwhile, Iglesias spent time in Toronto while recording his first album.
“You’re gonna love it,” he told Lopez over the phone. “I love Montreal. It’s quite a city and then Toronto has always been good.” It’s the first time the two singers have toured together.
“We probably share some fans, but (we’re) definitely going to introduce each other to a whole other set of fans,” Lopez said. “It really is a gift for the fans to be able to see a few different artists they like or be exposed to a new artist.” Iglesias and Lopez did not disagree on anything during the interview — except on who should close the show. Lopez argued the screaming girls would enjoy it if he closed the concert, while Iglesias said he wouldn’t mind watching her perform from the audience. The summer tour begins on July 14 and 15 with two concerts at the Bell Centre in Montreal, followed by two performances at the Air Canada Centre on July 17 and 18.

School may still be in session, but the summer is looking particularly bright for Max David and Emme Maribel; Mom Jennifer Lopez is gearing up for her tour — and she’s bringing the twins along for the ride!
“I don’t know how that’s all going to work. This is my first time. I’m going to see,” the songstress, 42, told reporters during her Mega 2012 Tour press conference in Los Angeles on Monday.
“They’ll get on the bus with me and it’ll be a learning experience for both of us.”
And while Lopez’s little groupies may love life on the road, she explains it’s off to grandmother’s house the 4-year-olds will go if they need a breather.
“Luckily, there’s always Grandma’s house if they get really tired and stir-crazy,” the American Idol judge shares. “They can go with their grandma for a few days and then come back.”
Admitting she plans to “feel that out as I go,” Lopez’s love for her children leaves one thing clear: “I can’t be away from them for too long, so they’ll be with me most of the time,” she adds.

The “American Idol” judge is giving the backup dancer a bigger role in her professional life.
While the season-11 American Idol tour kicks off this summer, judge Jennifer Lopez will embark on her own series of stage shows — choreographed by new-ish boyfriend, Casper Smart.
“I’m working with (choreographer) Jamie King, and also Casper Smart,” she announced earlier this week. “It’s going to be an amazing, amazing show.”
As previously reported, Lopez is partnering with Enrique Iglesias and Latin superstars Wisin Y Mandel for a world tour — her first — to launch July 14 in Montreal. Lopez’s months-long romance with Smart, a 25-year-old former backup dancer, has been out in the open, for the most part: the two have been photographed together, at work and at play, and Smart recently earned another promotion as director for her latest music video in Acapulco.
According to Yahoo Music, Smart has more professional experience in a lead choreographer role than some might think: he’s choreographed for Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Eminem as well as TV’s So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Best Dance Crew and The X Factor.
Lopez, 42, split from Marc Anthony — father of her 4-year-old twins, Max and Emme — last year. She’s since reinvented herself as a compassionate judge on Idol who doles out tough love, too, and the co-producer of the reality competition Q’Viva! alongside Anthony.

It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Lopez is nearly 20 years into her music career and just now getting ready to launch her first solo tour. But on Monday the multi-hyphenate diva announced that she will spend her summer on the road with two of the biggest names in Latin music: Enrique Iglesias and Wisin Y Yandel.
The trio will hit more than 20 cities on the outing, beginning with a July 14 date in Montreal at the Bell Centre, and running through gigs in Boston, Chicago, San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston and an August 31 date in Miami at American Airlines Arena. More dates will be announced soon for the tour.
“This is my first tour, but I want to give my fans everything that they’re waiting for,” Lopez told MTV News on Monday, while sitting on a couch flanked by Iglesias and Llandel Veguilla Malave of the popular reggaeton duo. “All the hits, lots of dancing, all the stuff they love. But some new surprises. Lot of energy, lots of great music, obviously. A little bit of English, a little bit of Spanish, a little bit of everything I think that our fans really want.”
She praised her tourmates, calling them “great performers,” and promising that she and Iglesias, who will reportedly flip-flop headlining slots, will do some songs together as well. Lopez co-headlined a 2007 tour with ex-husband Marc Anthony in what was then billed as her first-ever tour.
In addition to her gig as a judge on “American Idol,” and the upcoming Las Vegas stage debut of her other competition how, “Q’Viva” due on May 26, not to mention a greatest-hits album scheduled for release this summer, Lopez has plenty to keep her busy until the tour kicks off in mid-July.
Iglesias was in talks to join Britney Spears for a tour last summer, but opted instead to go out on his own with openers Pitbull and Prince Royce.
