Jennifer Lopez wasn’t about to let a party crasher steal Adele’s moment. While the “Parker” star and rapper Pitbull were on stage to present Adele with her award for Best Solo Pop performance, they were joined on stage by Ukrainian TV personality and frequent celebrity prankster Vitalii Sediuk.
Sediuk was definitely not invited to the Grammys, and apparently J.Lo could tell right away. The “Parker” star gave him a stern look and waved him away before he had the chance to steal Adele’s thunder.
“It’s such an honor to receive this award,” the prankster was heard saying as he approached the stage. “I love you, Adele.”
As Sediuk exited the stage, Adele turned to Lopez saying, “You’re like my good luck charm.”
The “Set Fire to the Rain” singer didn’t appear to be phased by what happened, she continued on with her acceptance speech addressing the audience.
The notorious party crasher wound up spending the night in jail for his stunt, but didn’t seem to be remorseful about his stunt.
“My channel didn’t get credentialed, so I went with friends who had tickets,” Sediuk told Billboard Magazine. “They didn’t check how many we had, so I was let in. First I went to the media line and interviewed quite a few celebrities, like Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Kidman. …Then I just followed one girl in a green dress through the [Staples Center] gates. They checked my pockets but never asked to see a ticket. Only once I was inside the building did I realize, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s Katy Perry!’”
